Sorted Raises Over £1.9M to Revolutionize Waste Sorting with AI-Powered Technology

Sorted, a London-based recycling firm, has raised over £1.9 million in a seed funding round led by Pi Labs, to tackle the global waste sorting problem. The company's AI-powered technology enhances sorting and achieves a residual waste recovery improvement of over 50%.

Sorted's founders, Arthur Goujon and Luis Espinosa, bring extensive expertise in waste management and scaling unicorn companies. With the funding, they aim to expand their team and accelerate their market approach.

By assisting waste management companies in improving waste sorting efficiency, Sorted contributes to a circular economy and helps reduce carbon emissions and landfill waste, according to SUEZ UK's Production Regional Manager, Fred Stinchcombe.

Pi Labs' founder, Faisal Butt, emphasizes the urgency for innovative waste management solutions, as global waste generation is predicted to increase by 70% by 2050. Sorted's technology provides a digitalized and environmentally friendly solution to this pressing issue.
