London-based Plural creates a new £315 million fund to further support its founder investment approach. Plural, an early-stage investment fund established by operators and founders, has announced the launch of a new £315 million fund designed to support ambitious founders who want to use technology to transform the world.

Raised barely 18 months after the first fund, the new funding maintains Plural's momentum from its first 26 investments, the growth of the platform scaling and investing team, and the strong interest from seasoned LPs to participate in Plural's unique business model.

In June 2022, Plural was established to provide European entrepreneurs seeking significant funding with investors who share their aspirations. While just 8% of European venture capitalists have founded a business, entrepreneurs creating challenging businesses would benefit more from investors with practical expertise.

Startup creation in Europe is still outpacing that of the US, which presents significant potential. Since its founding, Plural has made investments in 26 game-changing businesses in six nations: the US, the UK, Estonia, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Estonia. Its top investment sectors include AI (31%), frontier tech (16%), and climate & energy (14%), reflecting the Plural team's propensity to take a long perspective on intricate initiatives that will impact the future and its desire to invest early in big, essential concepts.
