Creature Comforts Raises £8M to Revolutionize Veterinary Care
London-based pet tech startup Creature Comforts has raised £8 million in seed capital to bring a transformation to the veterinary care industry. The funding round was co-led by Torch Capital, Hanaco VC, and Boost Capital Partners, with participation from Active Partners, Tarek Abuzayyad of Initial Capital, and Steve Rosengarten of Vet One.
The investment will support the launch of 'Zero by Olive Gaea,' a SaaS platform that aims to address the challenges faced by businesses in their net zero and carbon management efforts in the MENA region. Creature Comforts plans to open its first two clinics, introduce a proprietary app for 24/7 virtual care, and offer a monthly subscription model for unlimited consultations, vaccinations, and more.
Founded in 2023 by CEO Daniel Attia, Creature Comforts aims to improve the lives of both pets and vets. They plan to offer a best-in-class clinic experience, alongside innovative technology solutions that enable flexible work for vets and fast access to expertise for pet owners. The UK veterinary services market presents a substantial opportunity, with a forecasted CAGR of 9.5% and £10 billion in revenue by 2030.
The founders of Creature Comforts have personal experiences that drive their mission to revolutionize the industry. Daniel Attia's struggle to secure vet appointments for his dogs and Russell Welsh's experience in the veterinary field highlight the need for better solutions in the pet care industry. With a commitment to the wellbeing of pets and veterinary teams, Creature Comforts is set to make a significant impact on the UK market.
