CoreWeave, a provider of artificial intelligence computing services worth $19 billion, has opened its European headquarters in London, with ambitions to establish two data centers in the United Kingdom.

Coreweave, established in 2017, provides cloud-based artificial intelligence 'compute,' making GPUs accessible for developers working on AI applications. It recently secured a $1.25 billion investment to open two data centers in the UK, its first venture outside the US.

In a market flooded with AI startups, CoreWeave stands out as a leading competitor in GPU cloud computing, with plans to have 28 data centers worldwide by 2024. The UK, second in AI R&D investments, will benefit from lower latency apps due to localized infrastructure.

The UK's AI talent grab continues to intensify with CoreWeave looking to hire 30 employees in various positions. CEO Mike Intrator stated, 'London is an important AI hub that we are investing in,' marking a significant step in the company's growth.
