Accel Oversees $21 Million Investment in the UK Care Home Industry Loottie
London startup Lottie is addressing the challenges in the UK care home sector with its online marketplace, offering transparency and efficiency for families seeking care for their elderly loved ones. With 500,000 monthly users and 300% growth in the past year, Lottie has raised $21 million in a Series A round led by Accel, with participation from General Catalyst.
The company's acquisition of Found, a care home software company, enables real-time service availability, streamlining the search process for families in need. Lottie plans to digitize various stages of the booking process and manage payments in the future, making it a comprehensive platform for care providers.
Lottie monetizes through lead generation and a pay-per-query model for care providers. With its Found integration, it will introduce a percentage fee from each residency booking and offer software subscriptions starting at £150 per month. While currently focused on the UK market, Lottie has global aspirations and plans for international expansion by 2025.
With $31 million in total funding, Lottie aims to double its headcount and strengthen its product and engineering teams to build out Found as a comprehensive home operating system for care providers.
